April is at the peak of Kilimanjaro\u2019s rainy season (mid-March to May), and although precipitation can occur at any time throughout the year, April may challenge your comfort threshold. In recent years, May has exhibited lower precipitation levels than usual; yet, it remains conventionally one of the wetter months for climbing Kilimanjaro.<\/p>\n

Ascending Kilimanjaro in these months would undoubtedly provide greater difficulties due to slippery rocks and damp gear that is arduous to dry without sunlight. The western side of the mountain may be slightly colder, although it is not sufficient to hinder your exploration of the Shira Plateau and Volcano.
